NameCheck FAQ's

Who sends the emails and what should we say in the emails to graduates about NameCheck?

You will send the emails from your university. There is currently no email communication to graduates from NameCheck. You can find suggested copy here: https://clientsupport.stageclip.com/article/217-namecheck-emails

It's saying I don't have enough credits to upload my list.

If you have a written agreement with StageClip, your credits will be added from the backend as part of that agreement. If you register using our self-service platform, you can purchase credits directly using a credit card.

If you need to purchase additional credits, you can purchase directly on the platform using a credit card or contact your CSM to assist you. (please note there is a minimum purchase amount of 99 credits). Credits will never expire.

Are the links specific to each event?

Yes and no. The links within each NameCheck event are specific to those events. If you wish to send one email to all graduates, you will want to copy the link on the NameCheck events home page. From that link students will need to select which ceremony they are in.

A student submitted an audio file for their name pronunciation, if we accept it, will the audio of them saying their name play or does AI voice adapt and pronounce it?

Yes, after you accept the audio recording it will still show as an audio record. Your CSM will convert it to AI on the backend when exporting the files.

What do "in review", "student confirmed" and "suggested pronunciation" mean?

"Suggested Pronunciation" all students will show up as suggested pronunciation

"In Review" student has submitted phonetics and needs approval

When a student submits their name phonetics they will change to "Awaiting Review". Once you approve the students name change (or just their name confirmation) they will change to "Confirmed"

What happens if I reject a graduate's pronunciation?

Currently there is no email functionality in the NameCheck platform. If you reject a graduate's pronunciation you will need to notify them directly so they can resubmit before the deadline.
