Virtual or Hybrid Clip Templates
Each graduate in your event will receive an Individual Recognition Clip. For virtual events, these clips include the student's name and subtitle as provided on your participant list, along with the student's photo, message, and/or video if they've chosen to submit them. For hybrid clips, we also include the student's moment on stage during the in-person ceremony. This personalized information is bookended by short opening (pre-roll) and closing videos, branded to your institution. Most often this is video your marketing team will already have available, and is not something that needs to be produced specifically for this purpose. In addition to (or in lieu of) video footage, you can submit JPEG or PNG images to use in the clip template.
Following are some guidelines and specifications for clip templates:
- Technical Specifications for video files – MP4, 1280 x 720 (720p) or 1920 x 1080 (1080p)
- Graphics such as JPEG or PNG slides can be used at the start or end of your clips. These must be formatted at 16:9 ratio (1920 x 1080, or 1280 x 720)
- We recommend pre-roll of approximately 10-15 seconds and closing video of approximately 5 seconds
- We can support your audio in the pre-roll (such as a congratulatory message from the Dean) but cannot support any audio beyond the music track for the closing video. This is due to our clipping process and the varying length of each clip
- You do not need to add music to your pre-roll/close video, as this will be supplied by StageClip. If you’d like to use your own music track, please submit it to your StageClip representative, or at clientsupport@stageclip.com, as a separate MP3 file. Be sure that any music you provide is not restricted by copyright and is at least 90-120 seconds long
- All video and graphic files can be uploaded into the Individual Clip Template section in Producer, where a sample clip can be generated.

If you do not have custom open and/or closing video to use, the StageClip Producer platform has a default template that you can use. The default template will pull your logo, hashtag, and brand colors from the settings in your Producer account.
